I’ve been making too many excuses lately. Life has been challenging, for sure. I’ve recently lost my job, lost some friends, almost lost my flat, and many other things. And I’ve used all these as excuses not to do anything. Or to do the bare minimum. Waiting for things to change.

But who here never struggled in life? It’s hard for everyone; we all have ups and downs, and sometimes periods that feel like a perpetual down. Yet, some still emerge and become successful, while others don’t. What is the difference between them? Is that luck? Perhaps, to some extent. But to be lucky, you have to want it. You have to provoke it. Don’t mistake luck and miracles. You have way more chance to win the lottery if you play it every day, rather than waiting for the winning ticket to be carried by the wind into your hands. The first is luck made possible by consistency. The second is a pure miracle. Or your name is Gladstone Gander.

The same principle applies to everything in life. You’ll have much more chance to be approached for a high-paying job / freelancing opportunity if you’re already doing it and showing yourself. No stranger will come to you in the street to hand you a million dollars out of kindness and disappear. You have to work with luck, make it your ally, and make luck a…
